The best platform to sell courses depends on what you sell, how much you earn and who your students are. This guide does not rank them. It sets out what each platform lists on its own pages as of 14 October 2026, shows where it was unclear or unavailable, and gives you five questions to choose with. Synappses is published by the same team as this site, so we have kept to figures you can check yourself.

Marketplace, own platform or all-in-one?

  • Marketplaces put your course in front of an existing audience but you do not own the brand or the student relationship. They are not covered in the table below.
  • Own-brand platforms let you sell under your name and domain, and keep the customer list.
  • All-in-one platforms add email, funnels and community to the course builder, usually at a higher price.

Choose with five questions

  1. What do you sell? Courses only, or sessions, a community and webinars too? Platforms differ a lot here.
  2. How much will you earn? Add up a year of commission. Compare a low-fee, high-commission plan with a flat fee.
  3. Do you need your own app? Check whether it is included, an add-on or a separate purchase, and whose developer account publishes it. See our guide to white-label apps for coaches.
  4. How valuable is your content? If piracy worries you, compare DRM levels, not just a download toggle. Read DRM for course creators.
  5. Who are your buyers? Indian students suggest rupee pricing, a GST invoice and local payment methods. Confirm checkout options with any vendor you shortlist.

Frequently asked questions

Which is the best platform to sell online courses in India?
There is no single best. Compare commission, branded app, DRM and billing currency against what you sell and how much you earn. The table above lists what each platform states publicly.
Can I sell courses without a monthly fee in India?
Some platforms have no fixed fee on an entry plan, such as TagMango Basic, but they take a percentage of each sale. Synappses has a free plan with 0% commission and an earnings cap of ₹5,000.
